This was my second piece for our news show. It went on air on Jan 12th, 2012.

There’s a shortage of Catholic priests in Canada. To make up for this, Canadian bishops are essentially importing priests from countries like the Philippines, Vietnam, India and, of course, Italy.

I pitched this story as a glimpse into the life of someone who’d immigrated to Canada, alone, as a priest. I wanted to know what kind of connection he might have with home and with his family.
